my bloody face

Hey everyone, I had a car accident the other day. Well, more accurately, I got hit by a car on my bicycle. Even more accurately, I ran into a car that turned in front of me too quickly for me to stop. Turns out that this type of thing is 100% the driver's fault in Japan. And since the driver works for an insurance company, he knew it and has been very nice to me. I guess I was lucky to hit a nice person. My bike hit the side of his car right behind the front wheel. I went chin-first into the side of his car, but didn't fly across the hood or anything dramatic like that. I just fell to the ground and started bleeding from a minor cut on my chin. The guy got out and tried to ake me to the hospital and all that, but I said that I had to go to work. So we traded info and I went to work. I was going to a new elementary school for the first time. I went to the nurse's room and got disinfected and bandaged. Then I went to class. But my glasses were pretty messed up and wouldn't stop falling off my face. And the bleeding wouldn't stop. It was rather comical. But eventually the school called the Board and they came and I had to go to the hospital and all that. But, I got 4 classes and lunch and cleaning in before I had to leave. Lunch was difficult to eat, because my jaw was vaguely dislocated and the teeth weren't matching up correctly. But they are moving slowly back into place. It so happened that I fell right on my (brand new) keitai and broke it beyond recovery. So I lost all the phone numbers I got in the last month, and all the pictures I took, which sucks because I took some nice ones in Kyoto. And I met a famous, but lame, singer and took his picture too. But I got new glasses and a new phone, and today I will get a new bike too. And I'm pretty much healed. I feel bad for the guy because this has turned out to be somewhat expensive, but it seems to have worked out okay for me. As long as my jaw heals, its okay. Because I love eating. Its kept me busy the last few days, running around everywhere, but I haven't had to miss any classes. Although, I still have this stupid cold.
