So I am standing out on my porch just now hanging laundry on the line, when suddenly I hear a very strange noise from the street below. To myself I think, "Why, that sounds like a precision-tuned Italian sports car!" so I look over my balcony and what do I see but a bright red Ferrari Testarossa parked in my alley, giving off a rumbling purr that sounds really sweet when contrasted with all the Japanese cube cars, such as the Nissan Cube. So then some Yak guy gets out and (illegally) dumps some trash under my trash net and drives off very slowly. Slightly less than half of me feels compelled to go look and see what exactly he dumped, but really I am just too lazy. It isn't as if the Yakuza is really all that scary; they are just kinda seedy. They all dress like the lamest Miami Vice-era pimps. They really just crack me up.

So I did get something drawn the other day. I didn't do it until during second period the next day though, because it was due third period. I don't think that it cam eout too well but the kids and teachers seem to think it is cool so that is fine. I will scan it in and post it here. What you do is write the four sentences from the top in the word bubbles of the four guys, using the supplied words to fill in the blanks in the sentences. This is so difficult to explain to japanese kids, I can tell you.

Tomorrow is what is called "Marathon Day" at school. This means my teachers expect me to run 4.2 k actually, not a genuine marathon thank god. But I must say that even a mere 4.2k is way out of my range at this point. I probably could survive the run itself, although it might take me 20 minutes because I am way lame cardiovascularly speaking, but I know that my knees would never be able to take it. And the last thing I want is to be crippled right before a weekend. And this weekend is the (exceptionally early) Christmas party as well. And also I am going to Thailand in a few weeks and I probably need to be able to walk at that point. So screw running 4.2k. For some reason they make all the students run this 4.2k. It is really strange, but what isn't around here?
