So I am riding my bike home from Bunkyo University tonight after my Japanese class. I run into some friends of mine from class standing along side the road, talking to some white guy that I don't know. They say to me, "Great, you're here! Let's go!" and run off towards the station with me. Turns out that these two girls who are my friends were walking down the street, having a loud conversation in English about how one of them would really like a date with someone, anyone, when this English-speaking guy happened to be walking down the street and overheard them, taking it as an opportunity or something, so he was like, "Hi, my name's [whatever his name was. I have no idea.] How YOU doin'?" But she didn't really mean anyone, and this poor guy apparently falls out side of the group of people she was referring to, so they used me to escape. It made me notice how much we all take for granted the fact that being in Japan, almost no one can understand us foreigners if we talk at a normal speed, so we end up just saying anything aloud, even things that we would never say in public back in our native coutries. Anyway, after that my friends said that they could really use some beers for the train ride home, so we ducked into 7-eleven and picked some up. They drank half of them on the way to the station, which was about a minute away, and then handed them to me for whatever reason. So now I am riding my bike with a beer. I'm only riding to my house which is a 1 minute bike ride from the station, but of course I run into some students. Luckily they were high school girls and not little boys, so they are fairly responsible and intelligent by this point, and properly chastised me about drinking and driving. So I had to explain the whole above spiel about how I ended up with the beer and try to convince them that I was not in the habit of drinking and riding.

Oh by the way, my school's really far from my house.
