Okay, so I survived the so-called mega-typhooon. It didn't seem like a big deal at all to me. There were some tree branches on the ground the next day, but that was about it. I even went out in the middle of it, and nothing particularly catastrophic was going on. But Saitama prefecture is landlocked so maybe we were spared the brunt of it. It seems that four people died. The typhoon's name was Higos. Meanwhile, Louisiana is being evactuaed because of Lili. The next day was bright and sunny and 30 degrees, so we had our sports festival at school. It was a lot of fun because I got to hang out with the kids a lot and run around in the field. I did the 100 meter relay and the 200 meter relay, and everyone seemed to think that I was really fast. Of course, they would say that no matter what. But it was good. And afterwards we of course had an enkai, which is a drinking party where everyone gets smashed, and then we went bowling. So that was fun.
